Student Crew

Student Crew supports the implementation of Welcome Week.

Become a Welcome Week Student Crew Member

If you are a student who has school spirit, loves to work on a team, and enjoys welcoming new students to campus, consider becoming a part of the Welcome Week Student Crew.

Welcome Week Student Crew members will be selected the spring before the Welcome Week for which they are selected. There are 30 Welcome Week Student Crew positions, designed to give Illinois State University students the opportunity to learn and gain experience in the behind-the-scenes processes involved with the planning, implementation, and evaluation of both small and large-scale events. In addition, the student crew will gain experience in outreach, public relations, and public speaking.

The positions will be paid minimum wage, with a workload of approximately 25–35 hours during Welcome Week in August (Monday - Sunday), plus training time the weekend before Welcome Week. Some meals will be included as well as shirts to wear throughout Welcome Week.
